We love our Aquavisions Custom Pool

A picture says a thousand words and this picture certainly expresses the feel and style of our new custom in ground Gunite pool. Matt Lusk, President and designer, listened to what we desired in a pool. He then designed it and shared it with us through the use of state of the art software on his flat panel TV. My husband was hooked and so the construction began.

The crew at Aquavisions is very friendly and knowledgeable about building gunite pools. They take the time to explain the process for the day, the week and down the road until completion. From the first day of digging, Matt and his brother Andy, as well as the crew, were excited to begin a new pool. As time went on this was still the case. They truly enjoy seeing the excitement build for a family to arrive at the day of the first swim. During the process when questions arose, they answered them. Matt especially was very patient during the time period when we had to make choices for colors. One Friday evening, he did a special presentation just for our kids to see the plan at his office on the big screen.

All construction jobs have some issues and building a pool is no exception. Ours was the weather. During the rainiest spring in history, which included a major flood, we pumped out the hole (dirt at the time) on Sunday so that Aquavisions could continue Monday morning. They were very surprised and pleasantly relieved for the time savings.

Working with Aquavisions was like working with a family. Anyone one of them, when asked, could get us in touch with an owner of a pool that had a similar color or feature or finish. Seeing other pools locally and talking to those owners was indispensible. We hope that we can help others in the same way by inviting anyone considering building an Aquavisions pool, to stop by. Katie and I were looking for a pool that was very unique. I am a swimmer and have always wanted to be able to do laps in my backyard. Additionally, my 3 kids enjoy pools very much but mostly for playing in and not laps. My wife loves the lounging and look of a great backyard pool and an occasional dip as well. So there we were thinking about how we could satisfy all three agendas with one backyard pool. I looked online for lap pools that met all 3 of our needs and found nothing. I had a few builders draw up some plans and did not like the meat clever look that they came up with. Other builders would not even attempt a design without an agreement that we would use them to build our pool or pay them for just doing the design weather we liked it or not. After a year or so of looking around, our plans were going nowhere and we were seriously wondering if it was possible to create a beautiful pool that acted as a lap pool with and adequate kids play area as well.

It was then that we met Matt Lusk and Aquavisions. We sat down with Matt and went over our needs, desires and concerns about a beautiful lap pool. We also stressed the fact that we did not want to spend money on something that would turn out to be ugly. I was also concerned that the pool would be obnoxiously large because I wanted a full 25 yards for my lap length. Matt took all this in stride and seemed to grasp well what we wanted and was eager to work on the design. The very next day he emailed the preliminary pool design, lap lane, kids play area and boy was it a beauty. After one tweak to shrink it without shrinking the lap lane we were sold on our new pool.

The great thing that happened next is Aquavision’s builders were as much a joy to work with as was the pool design process. The entire crew took pride in their work and because of that the pool turned out great. As I have told many friends, “this was one project that turned out better than we ever could have imagined.” We owe it all to aquavisions. They were with us and on the same page every step of the way. They even allowed my 7 year old son to “assist” them in the building process. Thanks again Aquavisions. You were a joy to work with!
